La Ballena Roja is a relative newcomer to the growing area around the entrance to the Marino Ballena National Park. There are a number of restaurants, surf shops and tour operators all within walking distance. However, the walk may not be necessary with all the onsite services offered:

Bungalows

Second floor with balcony. Recently renovated. The mattresses, linens, fans and TVs are new. Each of these 2 bungalows have 2 double beds, private bath with cool temp. shower. The TV connection is cable.

The 2 Economy Rooms also have a baclcony. Each have 1 double bed, ceiling fan and a shared bathroom. Complimentary Wi-Fi but no TV.

Monkey Tree Cabinas

Located just behind La Ballena Roja. Nestled in a garden setting complete with Costa Rica’s splendour of butterflies, birds and monkeys.

The upstairs suite: 2 bedrooms. It features a balcony with hammocks and a large natural wood table. The master bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds. Full kitchen with appliances and all that is needed to prepare, serve and eat. Sleeps 4.

The downstairs is a family style room that opens out to the garden patio. 1 double bed and 2 singles and a private bathroom.
