The diversity of the towns is clearly represented in Ojochal. Originally the town was the end-of-the-road for the south to north coastal highway. The early foreign settlers here were mostly French speaking from Quebec. This led into an extremely diverse culture of European and Canadian mix. LOTS of languages heard here, and this has all inured to Ojochal’s considerable benefit in the culinary department. Ojochal has set out to the the cuisinary center of Costa Rica. And by golly, they have either done it, or are very near to.
